Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-03-16

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PR-TOP (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PR-TOP. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

PR-TOP is a therapist-controlled between-session assistant platform designed for practicing psychologists and therapists. The Service provides tools for client diary management, session transcription and summarization, exercise delivery, SOS alerting, and practice analytics.

The Service operates through a web dashboard for therapists and a Telegram bot interface for clients. AI-powered features include speech-to-text transcription, session summarization, semantic search, and natural language queries.

PR-TOP strives to maintain reasonable uptime and availability. While we aim for high reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

3. User Accounts & Registration

Therapist accounts are created through the web registration form. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Client access is granted exclusively through therapist-generated invite codes. Clients interact with the Service through the Telegram bot and do not have direct web dashboard access.

You must provide accurate and complete registration information. You agree to promptly update your account information if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws and professional ethics standards. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or system resources
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service to store or process data unrelated to legitimate therapeutic practice
  • Misrepresent your professional qualifications, credentials, or licensure status

5. Subscriptions & Payments

PR-TOP offers subscription tiers (Trial, Basic, Pro, Premium) with varying feature sets and usage limits. Pricing and tier details are displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time.

Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. All payment card data is handled by Stripe in compliance with PCI DSS — we never store card numbers on our servers.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for unused time.

We may offer a free trial period for new accounts. If you do not cancel before the trial expires, your account may be downgraded or you may be charged for the selected plan, depending on the terms presented at signup.

6. Intellectual Property

The PR-TOP platform, including its software, design, logos, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by PR-TOP and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.

Therapists retain full ownership of all content they create through the Service, including private notes, session recordings, and any materials uploaded to the platform. PR-TOP claims no ownership over therapist-created content.

Clients retain ownership of their personal data, including diary entries, exercise responses, and voice/video messages. The therapist-client data relationship is governed by the professional therapeutic agreement between the therapist and client, not by PR-TOP.

7. Data Privacy

The protection of your personal and clinical data is fundamental to our Service. We employ application-layer encryption (AES-256) for all sensitive clinical data (Class A), TLS 1.3 for data in transit, and strict access controls throughout the platform.

For complete details on how we collect, use, store, and protect your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

PR-TOP IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE, DIAGNOSTIC TOOL, OR EMERGENCY SERVICE.

The Service is a practice management and between-session support tool for licensed therapists. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the licensed therapist.

The SOS alert feature is a notification relay system that alerts the therapist — it is not a substitute for emergency services. In case of immediate danger, users should contact local emergency services (911, 112, or equivalent).

AI-generated content (transcriptions, summaries, search results) is provided as a convenience and may contain errors. Therapists must verify AI outputs before relying on them for clinical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PR-TOP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to PR-TOP in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PR-TOP and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any content you submit through the Service.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using the account deletion feature. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice when possible, except in cases of severe violations or legal requirements.

Upon termination, you may request export of your data (therapist notes, session records) in a portable format, subject to our data retention policy. Client data export requests should be directed through the client's own account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PR-TOP is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.

For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email and/or prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and terminate your account.
